Irish Times Premium v Irish Independent

from seanOg in seanOg's;

What is the point? Stephen Fry tells us about the Gutenberg Press and all it's implications - the freedom of the printed, distributed word. I want to read a story about poor Stuart Fogarty, but this is all the Irish Times gives me;

"A DIRECTOR of a leading advertising agency who borrowed almost €430,000 from the company has been remanded on bail pending sentence after he admitted breaching the Companies Act.", followed by the premium symbol.

However, clicking on the Irish Independent gives me the full story.

So why pay? Now maybe if John Waters' column was pay-only, we could all have a more tranquil, liberal, tree-hugging world. Of course, he doesn't read blogs. He believes in freedom of speech.
